India’s total number of Covid-19 cases has reached 430,127,49, with 1,778 new infections reported. The number of active cases has decreased by over 800 to 23,087, according to the latest government data. The death toll has now reached 516,605, with 62 new fatalities in the last 24 hours.
Active cases now make up 0.05% of total infections, with a recovery rate of 98.75%, as reported by the health ministry. There has been a decrease of 826 cases in the active Covid-19 caseload over the past 24 hours. The daily positivity rate is 0.26%, and the weekly positivity rate is 0.36%, according to the health ministry.
Over 677,218 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests conducted in India to over 78.42 crore. The number of recoveries has risen to 424,73057, with a case fatality rate of 1.20%.
India has administered over 181.89 crore doses of the Covid vaccine under the nationwide vaccination drive.
